Formed in 1992 as a result of a global commitment by countries to cooperatively find solutions to limit global average temperature increased. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) ultimate objective is to achieve the stabilization of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous interference with the climate system.
