Fiji’s Third National Communication is an important report that helps Fiji fulfil its reporting obligation as a Party to the UNFCCC. This report shows how Fiji is progressing in meeting Fiji’s international commitments on climate change. It also, lays out the level of vulnerability and risks faced to the current impacts of climate change, how Fiji is coping with these impacts, and what the future might look like as the climate rapidly changes. Additionally, it describes Fiji’s greenhouse gas emissions for the period 2006-2011 and documents the mitigation actions the nation is taking in the pursuit of low-carbon and climate-resilient development.
