The Fiji Low Emission Development Strategy (LEDS) has been officially launched at COP24 in Katowice! Fiji is committed to implementing the Paris Agreement. Fiji is taking a lead in the climate change fight and commits to a net zero strategy to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees. Fiji has developed its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement as well as an NDC roadmap. The move to low carbon development under the roadmap will cover the main sectors of energy, transportation, land use, waste and coastal wetlands.
